Early entry is Tuesday 15, Wednesday 16 or Thursday 17 September, depending on the ticket — Thursday is the Pre-Party, and Wednesday already has daytime music at the Grove and the Crater. On the festival grounds the organizer lists single-compartment backpacks and purses up to 12" x 12"; totems are capped at 7 feet including the pole, with heads limited to 2 feet measured diagonally.
Age policy
The organizer's info page states: "You must be 18 or older by the day you arrive on site," and "21 or older to buy, consume, carry, or bring alcohol."
That is the organizer's policy, not ours. This site is written for adults regardless of who the event lets in.

What people trade here
Lost Lands is a camping bass festival, and the kandi follows the format rather than the lineup. Three days on the same field means a lot of small, fast trades in the shade between sets and a handful of real ones at the rail after dark. Trinkets — dice beads, tiny figures, clip-on cords — show up alongside bracelets far more than they do at a one-night show, because people are packing a bin, not a purse.
Everybody makes dinosaurs here, and you should too — just not the official ones. Do not copy the event’s own dinosaurs, logos or stage art. Original bone, ridge and tooth geometry belongs to nobody, reads the same across a dusty field, and is the version you will not regret handing to a stranger.
Carry plan
Split what you bring into three piles before you leave the tent. Trade stack goes on the arm you offer — those are the fast singles you can hand out without thinking. Keep arm holds what people gave you, and it does not get raided when you run low. Statement pieces — a cuff, a mask panel, anything that took a weeknight — stay in the bin until you know who you are giving one to.
Field dust gets into everything. String the trade stack the week before, not the morning of, and bring a zip bag for the ones that come home so they are not loose in a duffel with your tent stakes.

Read the organizer’s allowed and prohibited items page for the year you are attending, not a summary. As of the date at the top of this page, Lost Lands lists single-compartment backpacks and purses up to 12” x 12” on the festival grounds, with separate rules in the campgrounds. Kandi worn on your arms has never been the problem; a shoebox of loose pony beads and a pair of scissors at the gate is a conversation you do not want. String it at camp, wear it in.

Trade etiquette, short version
Ask before you trade. Never pull anything off somebody's arm, and never take a piece somebody says is a keeper. If someone says no, that is the whole answer — you are not owed a trade, and neither are they. A gift is a gift: accepting one does not put you in debt.

Leave no trace
Loose beads are litter. Cut cord ends, dropped letter beads and the plastic bags they came in all end up on the ground where you strung them. String over a tray or a towel, bin the offcuts, and pack out what you brought in — campgrounds especially.
