How to make it
- 1Cut the cordCut 290 cm (114 in) of 0.8 mm elastic cord. The extra is what you hold on to while you string — you trim it at the end.
- 2String rows 1 and 2 togetherThe first two rows go on in a single pass — 36 beads straight onto the cord. They separate as soon as you add row 3.
- 3Drop every new row into the gapsAdd a bead, skip a bead on the row below, pass through the next. That skip is the half-bead offset you see in the chart. Carry on to the top — 7 rows.
- 4Zip or tie the endsBring the two ends together and zip the interlocking beads to close it into a cuff, or leave it flat and finish with a cord tie.
- 5Tie it offSurgeon’s knot, pull it into the gap between two beads, then a dab of clear glue. Trim the tails once it is dry.
