The 2027 edition runs across two weekends — May 14-16 and May 21-23 — at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, and each weekend is a separate ticket. Camp EDC publishes its own guidelines page on top of the festival rules. The organizer lists clear bags up to 12" x 6" x 12", clutches up to 6" x 9" whether clear or not, and empty hydration packs with no more than two main compartments plus one smaller one; read the current page for the full bag list.
Age policy
The organizer states the event is 18+ to enter and 21+ for alcohol and VIP, and that valid photo ID is required.
That is the organizer's policy, not ours. This site is written for adults regardless of who the event lets in.

What people trade here
This is still where the most kandi changes hands in a single weekend in the United States, and where the handshake is most likely to be the way a stranger opens a conversation. Expect everything: bins of singles from people who prepped for a month, one-off cuffs made for a specific friend, sprout clips and small trinkets handed over without a word.
The nights run to sunrise, so the pieces that work are the ones that survive the temperature swing and still read under a wash at 4 a.m. UV beads and hard contrast beat subtle gradients out there. If you make one piece that people stop you about, make it a cuff — X-base and 3D are the shapes that get remembered, and they are also the ones people ask about instead of just pointing at.
Do not put the event’s artwork, a stage name or an artist’s name on a bracelet you plan to trade. Use the place instead: the Speedway, the shuttle, the sunrise, the year.
Carry plan
Two weekends means two rounds of prep, not one giant pile. The numbers above are for one 3-day weekend; if you are holding tickets for both, double them and restock between the two rather than stringing a ten-day pile in August. Within a night, split the stack the usual way: trade arm loaded and easy to slide off, keep arm untouched, one statement piece held back for someone you actually want to give it to.
If you are at Camp EDC you can restock between nights, which is the strongest argument for stringing on site. Bring cord and a bag of beads to camp rather than carrying every finished bracelet you own into the festival.
Bag policy
Read the current Hours & Info page, and Insomniac’s general festival guidelines underneath it, for the year you are going. Bag dimensions, hydration-pack rules and the allowed-items list are published there and get revised between editions. Camp EDC has a separate guidelines page.
Worn kandi is not the problem at a gate. A box of loose pony beads, spooled cord and scissors is. String at the hotel or at camp and walk in wearing it.

Trade etiquette, short version
Ask before you trade. Never pull anything off somebody's arm, and never take a piece somebody says is a keeper. If someone says no, that is the whole answer — you are not owed a trade, and neither are they. A gift is a gift: accepting one does not put you in debt.

Leave no trace
Loose beads are litter. Cut cord ends, dropped letter beads and the plastic bags they came in all end up on the ground where you strung them. String over a tray or a towel, bin the offcuts, and pack out what you brought in — campgrounds especially.
